Adding even more glamour to its annual fundraising gala, the Education Foundation of Eagle County (E•ƒ(ec)) today announced that Project Runway star and Denver-born fashion designer, Mondo Guerra, has signed on as a judge at this year’s Project Funway event, hosted at the Dobson Arena in Vail on Saturday, February 10, 2018.

Now in its 7th year, Project Funway, presented by Vail Health, is an unconventional fashion design event that challenges amateur and professional designers to create garments out of anything but fabric and send them down a runway to be critiqued by expert judges. The challenge is to raise funds for E•ƒ(ec). The approach is avant-garde and FUN. This exciting, unique event brings community, teachers, parents, and students together in a creative, collaborative way, unlike any other fundraiser in the Vail Valley.

“Bringing Mondo into the fold for Project Funway will be an incredible experience for our designers as well as everyone in attendance,” said Pavan Krueger, Project Funway founder and E•ƒ(ec) trustee. “His commitment to important causes including education and advocacy have made him an inspiration here in Colorado – and beyond. We are so thrilled to have his support as we work to support and build engaging learning opportunities for students in Eagle County.”
