A night celebrating adventure in the mountains with two mountain experts! Discuss food preparation, gear selection, planning and weather/snowpack for skiing in the backcountry. The goal is to send each aspiring ski mountaineer in the audience home with stoke for a new season approaching!

Thursday, November 16, 2017 – 6:00pm-The Bookworm

Jon Kedrowski grew up in Vail, Colorado and has climbed and skied on all seven continents, including leading climbing expeditions to each of the Seven Summits reaching the summit of Mount Everest in 2012. He has been featured in numerous documentaries about his climbing and skiing on the Discovery Channel, Smithsonian, NBC, Dateline NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, and CNN.

Joining Jon at the Bookworm, is Brendan Leonard, author of Best Served Wild. An Outdoor Cookbook with a Distinctly Refined Palette “Roughing it” doesn’t have to include the food you eat when you’re in the backcountry. Best Served Wild offers up good backcountry food meant to be shared with friends around an open campfire.

The $30 ticket includes a copy of Jon’s book.
